As usual, with this topic and with the 2 parties involved, it got blown way out of proportion. It’s a shame that the amount of people that are capable of having polite, knowledgeable conversation and discussion is so few.
I’ll make my point VERY clear, although it doesn’t matter. Because even though I have yet to insult any of the pro-choice people on here, they’ve done nothing BUT attack, insult, etc. Regardless…
My point is this. I don’t believe in abortion. I don’t think it’s correct for moral reasons and for religious reasons. I understand it has always been around and will always be around. The same goes with the prostitution argument, that even if it’s illegal, people will still do it. Because people have free will, and I’m not God, so I won’t judge them on their choices.
However, in the same way that they’re expressing their vulgar opinions, I’m free to express mine. I’m no more right than you, but you are no more right than me.
It is a woman’s body, and it’s her mind, but I don’t feel any shame in saying that I disagree with any woman that sleeps around and gets pregnant and then aborts it. I know there are rape scenarios, as well as accidents, and health precautions. And in those scenarios, although I still don’t agree with it, it can be necessary. You’ll never hear me argue otherwise.
What you will hear me say, is that abortion is not a form of contraceptive/birth control. It should not be used as a fail-safe for careless decisions/actions. There are many more options that are more appropriate.
I know society has double standards. And as far as I’m concerned, whether it’s the male or the female that “Sleeps around”, sleeping around is sleeping around. I know monogamy in this world is unrealistic, but there’s also a thing called self decency, as well as cleanliness. Each party should be just as responsible. A guy never has the chance to be responsible because the child is aborted. But if that child’s born, EVERY state goes out of their way to make sure that guy pays, and for 18 years.
Yet I know ton’s of single Dad’s with deadbeat mothers of their children, who don’t pay a dime and nothing happens. You know why? I’m gonna say this even though it’s gonna open up another slew of hate from multiple people. It happens because of all this feminist bullshit.
I’m a girl. I have a damn good job, that I earned. I have health care, I can vote, I can do everything a man can. That’s a real feminist. Strength through equality, and being proud of what you are. Instead of bitching about equal rights, I made them be given to me.
YOU ARE AS EQUAL AS YOU MAKE YOURSELF TO BE.
If you sit around and complain all day, obviously nothing is going to happen.
Everyone has choices now days, and that’s the way it should be. People should think and act on their own without the assistance of anyone else, including the government.
You want to have sex? Have sex. You want to have multiple partners? Fine. You have an accident and wind up pregnant and choose to have an abortion? Then do it. BUT. DO NOT expect me to accept it. And damn sure don’t ask me to pay for it, OR support a president that want’s me to pay for it. I won’t judge or criticize you for it. But don’t you judge or criticize me.
Hate all you want, send angry messages, whatever. The fact is we’re online, in a blogging site. 95% of you will never meet me, therefore you have no effect on me. We’re on a blogging site. Where people share their thoughts. And as long as I do it respectfully, it’s not too much to ask you to do the same. If you don’t like it, don’t read it. If you don’t like it, and want to talk intelligently about the pro’s and con’s of any and all politics, please do!
This is an open, friendly environment where educated people can come to debate and discuss, and accept that every one’s opinion is their own, and neither is right or wrong.
